Erol Josué is one of the world's best known and most highly respected expert in the centuries old Haitian Vodou religion. His presentation spotlight elements of Vodou ritual in a clear and engaging fashion that draws from personal experience, tapping into his many decades as a performer and his accomplished hand as a playwright and arts presenter. Ordained as a Houngan (Vodou priest) in his teens, Erol Josué currently holds the position of General Director of Haiti’s National Bureau of Ethnology, acting as both an academic and living emissary for his birthplace and the Haitian Vodou religion. Josué's newest album, Pèlerinaj (Pilgrimage), is a showcase for Josué's eclectic and innovative blend of contemporary jazz, Haitian sacred songs, Creole folk, improvisation and electronic pop.

Born on July 25, 1971, Wildner Duma, known as Darati Makandal is a renowned hougan in the Haitian community. He is well recognized for his many contributions and hence wears many different hats in titles. His devoted support in the Haitian media, his presence in the media/radio station his experience and mentorship has he bring fourth his positive message gain his recognition as a journalist.
His elevated contribution, his love, and passion in assisting in the education of the children in Haiti, enlisted him the title of instructor. In addition, Darati Makandal has his footprint in the music and theater industry also. One of his greatest contribution in Haitian vodou and music is the Wonble. His objective when writing the womble was to fight against the syncretism that exist in vodou. He wanted to replace the old priyie gine, as we know by removing the catholic aspect and only integrating the loa and nature. In addition to the Womble. Mr. Darati Makandal is also an artist. He is married, and have five children whom he loves, and cherish.
When interview his humbleness is the outmost when he opiniated about vodou and his inspiration. He described his journey in the most admirable sense. He stated, as a past Jehovah witness, he embraced vodou through his journey as journalist, research and philantropist work in haiti. He later became the president of Jenes Bode National who was directed by Francois Max Gesner Beauvoir. While in the movement, he studied journalism at CRTEOP a school located in Radio Caraibe. Shortly, He started doing research on vodou than where he was introduce to the Priyie dyo which is inclusive of litany of catholic saint. He wanted to replace that part with the loa instead; because syncretism is not part of vodou. He wanted to rectify that aspect. In return, he wrote the womble one of most amazing piece in vodou. A piece that is adapted by many practionners who also share the same belief., syncretism has no place in Vodou. The Haitian community recognized Darati Makandal for this great effort, courage, and continuous contribution, to journalism the art and vodou.
